Overview

Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha websites are great sources of information, but this information is very poorly presented and is not very user friendly. Most of the question and answers are available in non-user friendly format. Idea is to gather all that information and show it in a more accessible manner, so that common citizen can access and understand that information along with their own representatives work.

Background Information

Questions and answers are designed as legislative instrument for opposition to question and demand answers from the incumbent government. Such questions and answers are released regularly on the Loksabha and Rajyasabha websites.

Proposed Solution

As a part of this multi-phase project, we would like to develop a tool which would be a one-stop shop for information about Indian Parliament. For example, Parliament is a great source for official data/news in regards to Questions, Bills introduced/passed etc. While Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha websites do have a way to search for this information, they are not indexed for search engines and also not very user friendly to access.
